Removable dentures without metal, also called flexible prostheses… The VALPLAST or removable dentures without metal, also called flexible or VALPLAST prostheses, are the result of a recent technology in the development of new biomaterials. They are made with a resin-based thermoplastic nylon, translucent a material that “mimics” the gum of the patient. In other words, it allows the prosthesis to take the color of the gingiva and makes it practically invisible – unlike acrylic. The beauty of these prostheses is that they are tissue-borne which do not count on the pillars pieces or supporting teeth. Therefore, they can be used in patients with periodontal disease and tooth mobility.The flexible prosthesis or VALPLAST can be made for the upper and lower dentures and are recommended for unilateral and bilateral edentulous patients based on pre-dental evaluation.
